Clever New Stuff is published by Spirit of Inquiry LLC ("we"). This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect. When you subscribe we get your email address and, if you choose to give it, your name. Our publishing platform, Ghost, also records whether our emails are opened, which links are clicked, and how you found us (such as the page you signed up from). We use that information to improve what we select, and to see what readers find useful and where they come from.

What we don't do. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't show advertising based on it. We don't share our subscriber list with other publications, including our sister publication Truly Curious.

Who processes it. Ghost (Ghost Foundation), which hosts the site, also sends our email. If we introduce paid subscriptions, Stripe will manage payments. We will never see your full credit card details. These providers handle your data under their own privacy policies.

Cookies. Clever New Stuff only relies on cookies required to keep you signed in as a member. We don't use advertising cookies.

Your choices. You can unsubscribe at any time. To have your data corrected or deleted, write to subscriptions@clevernewstuff.com. We'll act within 30 days.

Retention. We keep your data when you are subscribed, and delete it on request.

Changes. We will inform you of any material change in this policy by email.
